To the northeast it borders with Georgia, to the east with Armenia and the Autonomous Republic of Naxçiván, to the southeast with Iran, to the north with the Black Sea, to the west with Greece, the Aegean Sea and Bulgaria and to the south with Iraq, Syria and the Mediterranean Sea.

On the other hand, the Black Sea area has a subtropical climate with hot summers, soft winters and frequent rain. Finally, in Central Anatolia the climate is continental, with hot dry summers and cold winters, while in the east of the peninsula, the summers are softer, and the winters are cold; the Southwestern area is characterized by soft rainy winters.

What to see

In Ankara, capital of the Republic, the colorful bazaars and testimonies of the past of the city, evident in the vestiges of Ottoman, Roman and Byzantine monuments, attract you like magnets. You can also enjoy one of the festivals that are celebrated here.

Istambul is the only city of the world located in two continents, Europe and Asia, and hence, between two worlds, the West and the East. It is also one of the cities with more historical and cultural diversity, its churches, museums, mosques, bazaars and landscapes are as unforgettable as they are beautiful.

In the legendary Troya there are nine cities one on top of the other. Which one of these nine archaeological locations was the mythical city that fell one night to a horse full with warriors?

Efesos, one of the biggest archaeological locations of the world, is the museum of a complete urbanization, exhibited in its original location. Among some of the things that we can see there is the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Adriano, the Square of Domiciano, the Old theater and the Temple of Artemisa.

Another stop in our journey should be Iznik, the ancient city of Nicea and home of Hagia Sophia or Saint Sophia, of incomparable beauty and suggested to be one of the seven modern marvels.

Finaly, if we want to enjoy an idyllic time on a paradisiac beach, a good choice will be the historical city of Olympus, an old pirate base, located near the mouth of a river. Other places of interest that we can visit in this same place are the archeologycal areas, the temple of Olympus and the temple of Hefaistos and The Chimera, which is a perpetual fire that burns some kilometres away from the city in honor of that mythological creature.
