Centro-Oeste: Overview
This region is one of the more interesting of the country. In the west area, especially in the Pantanal Matogrossense, the conditions for photographic safari and ecoturism are ideal.
In the Federal District (Brasilia), the capital of the country, you can visit the Esplanade of the Ministries, the Three Powers Square, the Gardens of Burle Marx and the museums of the city. In the surrounding areas of the city you can visit the National Park of Brasilia.
In Goiânia, capital of Goiâs, you can walk along its tree-lined streets, forests and ecological parks. You can also visit Bosque dos Buritis, the Museum of Art of Goiania and the Botanical Garden Chico Mendes. Outside the city you can see the mysterious rocky formations of Paraúnas, the esoteric communities of Pirenópolis or enjoy "beauty tourism" at the hidrotermal locations of Caldas Novas.
In Mato Grosso you can visit the Marshland through the Transpantaneira highway, take a time to relax in the thermal waters and the mountainous climate of Águas Quentes or visit Cuiabá, capital of the State where you will see Chapada do Guimarâes and the Church of Rosario, among other things.
In Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul you can vist Parque de los Poderes, the career tracks of Park do Prosa or taste some of the typical dishes at Pensâo Pimentel. In this State you can also visit the springs, the natural aquariums and the grottos of Bonito, fluvial port of Corumbá. In Campo Grande you can visit the Marshland too, since more than a half of its territory is situated on this State.
