Argentina: Overview
Argentina is located in South America and it is bound by Chile to the west and south, with Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, with Brazil to the northeast and with Uruguay and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The Georgia and South Sandwich islands, the Aurora island and the Malvinas (Falkland) islands in the Atlantic are ruled by the United Kingdom, but claimed by Argentina because of their territorial location.
Climate
Climate is varied in the vast Argentinean territory. To the north temperatures are subtropical, while in the central regions it is tempered and pleasant, although in Buenos Aires summer can be very hot and humid. To the south the climate is cold, ideal for skiing, and the summer is very brief and not too hot. Because of this, the best time for visiting the country depends on the chosen destination.
