Budapest nights are very different from Western nights since it is not rare to spend them peacefuly enjoying a coffee or a beer in one of the terraces surrounded by the "kertek" (gardens) that decorate the entire city.
Liszt Ferenc Square is the ideal place to start the night, since it is full of calm bars like the Mediterranean or the Incognito, where you one can listen to music while having a drink. In San Esteban Square you can also enjoy cafes and bars and Holduvar, a famous nightclub.
In the port area you can choose between the Oscar American Bar, the Piaf, the Crazy Cafe or the exclusive boats of the Danube and summer clubs (the Mokka Cuka and the Buddha Beach Club are the most famous).
Finally you can go to the Parliament's neo-Gothic buildings where some classical and traditional music concerts take place or to the medieval neighborhoods to enjoy some traditional Hungarian meal in one of the many restaurants located there. Other options for tourists are the thermal baths and the cruises along the Danube.
